Siri Hustvedt is a force majeure. The author of a book of poetry, three collections of essays, a work of non-fiction, and seven novels: she is one of America’s most acclaimed and beloved writers.
She needed a site that reflected her achievements and her character, and also promoted her schedule: so fans can keep up-to-date with her public events and engagements.
I used Kirby to build the site. GT Walsheim from Grilli Type seemed a perfect font for the headers: a very human and open font that holds authority. Freight body text compliments the header text and extends the feeling of openness and authority. Siri’s illustrations help to capture her character on the site.
