bigflannel have been building simple, elegant websites since 2000. Specialities include photography websites, online glossy (translating the glossy magazine experience to online), and websites for top notch creatives, galleries, publishers and boutique retailers. We work on a bespoke basis with clients, designing and building a website from the ground up to meet a specific purpose, or we design and build with templates (our own or 3rd party) to meet a purpose more cost-effectively.

Mike Hartley, Creative Director
While studying manufacturing engineering and economics at university in England, Mike discovered he was a creative trapped in an engineer’s body. An MA in Applied Social Research and four (4) years of HIV Education practice later, the internet was invented: a space that allowed both the creative and the engineer to thrive. Since then he has been running bigflannel in New York City.
He was the Creative Director and a Partner at ZOOZOOM, a multiple Fashion Webby award winner and currently helps out at aCurator, a website he designed and built.
