I have just released an open source WordPress template called The J A Mortram. It’s a simple, elegant one column WordPress template with a fullscreen image slideshow. Designed for photo stories. Created for Small Town Inertia featuring the work of J A Mortram.

Jim approached me to see if I could sponsor him and replace his Posterous site. We’ve been working together making the Small Town Inertia replacement site and a portfolio site for him over the last few months. I find his work very moving and it’s been revitalizing and inspiring to work with him. He’s currently fundraising for a scanner for David, someone he documents, who is blind and will benefit tremendously if the money is raised. Jim is 61% of the way there:

Merri Cyr shoots music and artist portraits and makes fine art. You might also find her shooting editorial and classical musicians or you might know her work with Jeff Buckley.

Together we created a new site to showcase her portfolio of work, a bespoke site, designed in HTML5 to works across all browsers. We use SlideShowPro Director to manage her images and video, and tumblr to manage her text pages. Both her music and weddings site pull information from tumblr using the tumblr API. Her weddings site is a replica of the music site.

Jenice Heo needed an update to her site to reflect her ongoing work on her Neil Young Series. I updated the Indexhibit site with additional pages and small template changes.

Her Neil Young Series is currently on exhibit at Morrison Hotel Gallery.
